The Challenge
The manufacturing plant operated on a flat, unsegmented network. A minor malware incident on a front-office PC nearly spread to the production floor machinery, exposing a critical vulnerability that could have shut down operations entirely.
The Solution
We engineered a physical and logical separation (VLAN tagging) between the corporate office and the production floor. We enforced strict access control lists (ACLs) at the firewall level and rolled out Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for all administrative logins.
